Playing Pool Consistently
More often than not, we tend to think of our shortcomings too much that we overlook the simple things behind them. For example, your shot missed the object ball because the cue ball was a little off to the left. You think, ‘I put too much spin on that’ or ‘I shouldn’t have planned a backup safety for that one.’
The real reason though, is that your bridging hand was not supporting your stick correctly. Simple things like that need to be perfected already. Otherwise, your game will never be consistent. Below are some tips to help you play more consistently and avoid fatal errors.
1. Compose yourself. You need to be relaxed when you are shooting. Empty your mind of all worries and just focus on the shot.
What Look For in Boat Plans
Boat plans, patterns, and kits can help you bring to life your dream boat. You may think building a boat from scratch is outside your skill range, but it can absolutely be done.
You may be wondering, “Why should I build a boat? There are plenty of great boats out there to buy which have already been built!” That’s very true. There are countless boats available to buy, both new and used, each of which likely has plenty of attributes you may be seeking.
However, there’s something special about building your own boat directly. There’s something indescribable and fantastic about following a set of plans and watching your dream come to life. The end result is your very own creation, built from your own hands, which will be unlike anyone else’s boat. It takes a lot of time and a great deal of patience, but following a set of plans to the end so that you may sit and admire your very own boat is incredible. Now that’s pride of ownership!
The Real Importance of a Dynamic Warm Up
If I told you that you could increase your speed and lift more weight by doing something for 10 minutes before each workout session would you do it? ABSOLUTELY you would do it! The problem is athletes have NO CLUE that dynamic warm ups accomplish those important things, and it’s tough to get a kid to do something when they have no idea why they should or how it benefits them!
I will admit to you that even at the beginning of my career as a speed and strength coach I had mixed emotions on dynamic warm ups and warm ups in general. Sure most of the time as player when I lifted or trained I would simply forget to warm up, but a lot of times I would just choose not to as well.
Tips For Improving Putting
Putting is where you make the score. You can overcome just about any other miss, but missing a short putt is like a penalty stroke for carelessness.
Tips for improving putting are all too often just something else to go wrong with the putting stroke. Today I am going to offer you a better way to improve your putting without having to change your stroke.
The only way you can do that is by employing the proper strategy for putting. The best way to build your strategy is to look at the stats of the best to see where improvement is possible.
From inside of five feet, the best are nearly perfect at about 98 percent. But that number includes a lot of tap ins and putts that are way less than five feet. Still, 95percent from five feet should be achievable for the best putters. I think that 80 percent would be acceptable for the average golfer. That is making four out of five from five feet.
You Should Run a Marathon
Ok, before you start gasping and explaining how you would never be able to run 26.2 miles, let me explain.
Running a marathon is simply the goal, how long it takes, is the issue.
Every year at my kids school, the kids run a marathon. It is part of the Marathon Kids program, and it takes them the entire year. Each week during physical education, the kids run a bit. A couple times around the gym, a lap or two around the playground, but they do it regularly each week. Towards the end of the year, schools from all over the city gather at a local high school track where all the kids finish the last half-mile together. They run around the track, parents and siblings in tow, and receive their marathon finisher medals. The point being finishing the goal while promoting physical fitness.
